St Marks
Location
Guided by the light of Christ, St Mark’s seeks to be a community of faith, rooted in prayer, grounded in love and led by the Holy Spirit.
St Mark's is a family friendly congregation. Offering weekly Eucharistic worship which has a growing sense of informality and a variety of musical styles. We have an active teaching programme with midweek groups including a group for people in their 20' & 30's. We are prayerfully seeking ways to reach out and be a light in our surrounding community and put much energy into working with families. This is seen through our Toddler group, Mini-Music, regular toddler services, our links with local schools, and children's after-school and holiday clubs. Our teaching for children is based on Godly Play and for young people we use material from the "Urban Saints" resource.
St Mark’s Mission Statement:
Guided by the light of Christ, St Mark’s seeks to be a community of faith, rooted in prayer, grounded in love and led by the Holy Spirit. We do this by:
- Growing in our knowledge of God’s Word and his ways.
- Encouraging and empowering all people, young and old, to know the love of God in their lives.
- Showing hospitality to all.
- Working closely with other churches and the wider community.
We do all this in the name and the strength of Jesus Christ.
