We are a Coptic Orthodox Church. The word "Coptic" comes from Greek word "Agyptos" which means Egyptian. In the first seven centuries the church refers to the Christians in Egypt but now our church is found throughout the world. We have been first preached by St. Mark the writer of the 2nd Gospel in the New testament and we are proud of St.Athanasius ( Patriarch 20th in our church ) who wrote the Faith Creed in Nicea Council 325AD. We also in Egypt are proud of St. Antony The First Monk who Established the monasticism all over the world. To find out more about us click here.
